1. Introduction
With over 40,000 students, Fontys is one of the largest institutions for higher professional education in the Netherlands. Within this large organisation, Fontys Information and Communication Technology, with more than 3,800 students and 350 staff members, is one of the fastest growing educational institutes with its main buildings at campus Rachelsmolen and Strijp TQ in Eindhoven and a smaller but rapidly expanding location in Tilburg.

The ICT world is known for its extremely rapid developments. Fontys ICT aims at preparing ICT students in the best possible way. Therefore, we constructed a broad educational programme combining sound practical and basic theoretical knowledge and skills and the opportunity to specialise in various sub-domains of ICT. Our HBO-ICT programme keys in on the multifaceted aspect of the ICT work field.
